OLD ARE THE RAGS or "Velhos são os trapos" portuguese expression

26 of January of 2020

Pay homage to those who provide us the best of our Portuguese culture.

Knowing that we, Inspirações Portuguesas, are going to drink to our popular culture and traditions, there is nothing like valuing the source: The elders.

In developing our products there is a whole study involved. A study inspired by our past. A past that ''gives cloth to sleeves'' for our criativity and maintains Portugal alive and present from generation to generation.

We took advantage of the launch of sweaters in October, a month when the world senior day is celebrated, to pay a fair tribute to those who are the reason for our wisdom.

Who does not have a memory of stories that their grandparents told, and their experiences and knowledge of life that do captivated us in our childhood?

With our routines, we end up unable to give due value to those who with theor past prepare us for our future.

Inspirações Portuguesas did not want to let another day pass by and decided to pay homage: a campaign where they are the protagonists. We put together a product mostly used by the youth, printed the patternz of our sidewalk, Arraiolos and tiles and gave sweater to those who inspire us.

The perfect recipe where a single product brings generations together.

The results? A day full of color, joy, fun, rich in knowledge, thus becoming a beautiful and just tribute to all those who have so much to give us.

We wanted to pay homage to the elderly. We wanted to share all those smiles which are often hidden.

A very special thanks to the most beautiful models: Saudade, Guilhermina, Alice, Joaquim, António I., and António S. from the Centro Paroquial dos Pousos - Centro Sénior.
José, Maria and Adelaide from CASBI - Centro de Convívio e Apoio Social Bidoeirense.

Thanks to CASBI - Centro de Apoio Social Bidoeirense, Centro Social Paroquial de Pousos and ANCC - Associação Nacional do Corpo e do Cabelo.
